YEAR 11 OPTIONS EVENING - THURSDAY 12TH FEBRUARY

Shortly, Year 11 students will be asked to nominate the subjects that they hope to study in Years 12 and 13. Their choice needs to reflect their strengths and interests, but also their career aspirations too. It is such an important time in their progression.

To ensure that they make their choice optimally, Year 11 students and their parents are invited to attend an Options Evening on Thursday 12th February 2026 at 4.00pm. Subject leaders will offer talks focusing on the nature of their subjects at this level and their expectations too. The talks will be repeated throughout the evening to enable students and parents to visit up to five departments if they choose.

Prior to visiting the subject departments there will be a formal introduction to Sixth Form Study in the Senior Hall at 4.00pm and an opportunity to view the sixth form facilities at Bryntirion.

The school has carefully planned the evening to maximise student and parental understanding. You are warmly invited to attend, and we look forward to meeting you again during the evening.

This Options Evening is open to those students/parents wishing to join Bryntirion Comprehensive School Sixth Form, September 2026.
